Cobra® Products Launches Professional Strength Plunger for High Efficiency Toilets

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SWEDESBORO, NJ – Cobra Products, Inc., division of BrassCraft Manufacturing, and a leading provider of drain cleaning tools and solutions for homeowners, has launched the Plunge-It™ plunger for standard and high-efficiency (low-flow) toilets.

In 1992, President George H. Bush signed the Energy Policy Act which made the 1.6 gallons per flush low-flow toilets the standard. The law went into effect on Jan. 1, 1994 for residential buildings. With the changes in the water usage laws of 1992, many encountered plumbing problems. Flushing waste became an unsure thing, using about half the water toilets previously did. Customer complaints were many. Consumers went from 7 gallons per flush to 3.5 gallons per flush and then to the mandated 1.6 gallons per flush. Plumbers were put into the bad position of having to install toilets that no one wanted.

“Low-flow toilets are good for the environment, but they don’t always get the job done and the homeowner is faced with a clog”, says Audrey Horosko, Product Manager for Cobra Products. “Although toilet manufacturers have made design alterations to help propel the waste away, the occasional clog needs a professional strength plunger to solve the problem. With the introduction of the Plunge-It™ professional strength plunger, Cobra® Products has provided the solution to loosen and break up excessive material in the drain in both standard and high-efficiency toilets.”

The plunger, made of non-marking rubber, works great on both low-flow and standard toilets. It was designed for durability. The white handle stores attractively in bathrooms. Available at home centers and hardware stores, the Cobra® product line is designed for ease of use by “Do-It Yourself’ customers. For more information, visit https://www.cobratools.com/.
