BrassCraft fittings are shaped from a single piece of brass rod by 22 different machining operations. The result is a one-piece, solid brass part without seams or brazed joints.

From the industry’s most common brass fittings like compression, flare, pipe and hose barb to customer specialty engineered products, BrassCraft has just the right fitting for you. BrassCraft fittings are shaped from a single piece of brass rod by 22 different machining operations. The result is a one-piece, solid brass part without seams or brazed joints.

More specific to the function of the products available, here are some of the basic fitting styles and their uses:

  • Compression - use wherever an easy and economical method of connecting tubing is required. Most commonly used with instrumentation, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and are designed for use with aluminum, copper and plastic tubing. Not recommended for steel tubing. When used with plastic tubing, requires an insert sleeve. Has a fair resistance to vibration; use a long nut when greater resistance is required. Operating temperatures and tubing types are important factors.
  • Flare - extensively used for fuel, oil, air liquid petroleum (LP) and natural gas lines connections. Use with copper, brass, aluminum and welded steel tubing that can be flared. Has good resistance to vibration; use a long nut when greater resistance is required.
  • Pipe - typically used in water, grease, fuels, LP and natural gas, refrigeration, instrumentation and hydraulic systems. Use with brass, copper and iron pipe in low and medium pressure pipe line connections. Has a fair resistance to vibration and pipe movement depending on conditions.
  • Hose Barb - manufactured with Dryseal pipe threads. Use to connect flexible tubing with internal pressures up to 150 psi maximum; hose clamp required.

BrassCraft also carries an assortment of brass captive sleeve fittings for use with copper, brass, aluminum and thermoplastic tubing. So when you need fittings for any project, small or large, specify the brand that professionals worldwide have trusted for over 60 years - BrassCraft.
